This internship offers the opportunity to gain practical experience in UNDP's development activities by supporting operational and analytical tasks related to development finance policies and programs. The intern will engage in research, data compilation, policy dialogue facilitation, and support to national development effectiveness initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in monitoring activities of the Global Partnership for Effective Development Cooperation, including compiling statistical information and preparing the national monitoring report.
  • Participate in work related to the operationalization of the National Integrated Financing Framework (CNFI).
  • Facilitate policy dialogue on development financing initiatives, including promotion of innovative financing.
  • Support UNDP's work with the National Working Group on Development Effectiveness.
  • Compile and analyze information on green and blue finance niches and other innovative financing.
  • Produce summary notes and contribute to working documents.
  • Actively participate in activities of the Governance, Participation and Decentralization Unit or other activities suggested by the supervisor.
  • Gain a better understanding of UNDP functioning and development challenges.

Requirements

  • Be enrolled in or hold a Master's degree (or equivalent) in Development Economics, Applied Economics, Macroeconomics, Econometrics, Applied Statistics to Economics, or related field.
  • Good knowledge of sustainable development themes and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • Good quantitative analysis and writing skills.
  • Good command of basic computer tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
  • Provide a medical certificate of good health.
  • Provide proof of health insurance for the duration of the contract.
  • Respect internal regulations and confidentiality rules.
  • Demonstrate professionalism.
  • Adhere to United Nations values.
