The Programme Associate SC6 (Cash Based Transfer) supports cash transfer activities in the Abeche sub-office, ensuring implementation according to WFP standards. The role involves coordination, data collection, reporting, and capacity building related to cash-based transfer programs.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate implementation of cash-based transfer assistance at the sub-office level following SOPs.
- Receive distribution reports, verify and forward them to the Country Office for reconciliation.
- Actively participate in data collection to support decision-making on cash transfer modalities at the sub-office.
- Support preparation and establishment of beneficiary lists according to transfer mechanisms under SCOPE (mobile money, direct cash, electronic coupon).
- Monitor cross-cutting issues related to cash transfer assistance implementation (gender, protection, accountability).
- Ensure entry of cash transfer activity reports into the CBT and COMET databases for the sub-office.
- Participate in reviewing cash transfer proposals submitted by partners at the sub-office.
- Participate in supervision of CBT distributions.
- Support capacity building of sub-office colleagues on policies, directives and standards for cash transfer implementation.
- Verify download and quality of distribution reports by financial partners on SCOPE.
- Maintain and electronically archive beneficiary attendance lists for reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with CBT operation procedures.
- Perform additional tasks related to the position to achieve project objectives.
Requirements
- Completed secondary education and obtained a post-secondary certificate/diploma in project and programme management, sociology or related discipline.
- Minimum of 6 years progressive experience in programme management, including at least 3 years in cash-based transfer (CBT) programmes.
- Experience collaborating with technical teams such as nutrition and vulnerability analysis.
- Experience contributing to programme implementation.
- Experience facilitating or observing discussions on action to be taken.
- Proficiency in French is required; knowledge of English is an advantage.
