The Administrative & Finance Officer will serve as a strategic business partner coordinating operational activities in the Refugee Response Office in Warsaw to support programme implementation and delivery of results for children. The role includes providing risk-informed operational support, analysis, and advice, and supporting the operational and legal closure of the office by 31 March 2027.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support and services to the Refugee Response Office.
  • Manage travel arrangements and travel management processes.
  • Contract consultants and service providers as required.
  • Support financial control including treasury and cash management.
  • Ensure financial assurance and budget monitoring.
  • Maintain record-keeping and file management systems.
  • Contribute to knowledge and capacity building within the office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Public Administration, Operations, International Business, Project Management and any other related fields.
  • At least 1 years of relevant work experience in Administration, Financial Management, Facilities Management, Operations Management, Reporting, Budget and any other related fields.
  • Skills in Microsoft Office, ERP system knowledge, IPSAS accounting experience, Office closure management, Workforce transition management, Government partner interaction, Client service delivery.
  • Proficient/Fluent in both English and Polish.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language.
  • Desirable: Experience in a UN system agency, or a large private/public company.
  • Desirable: Experience working within an upper-income EU financial and fiscal space.
  • Desirable: Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
