National Individual Contractor in Information Management

The National Individual Contractor in Information Management will develop and manage information tools and data products to support the 2026 Pacific Human Rights Situational Analysis Report. The role involves data management, visualization, and coordination with human rights officers to enable evidence-based human rights analysis across Pacific Island Countries.

Responsibilities

• Participate in briefing with OHCHR PRO and work with human rights officers to ensure smooth transition of information tools and services for the 2026 Pacific Situational Analysis.
• Design, develop and populate spreadsheets and other data tools to support the elaboration of the 2026 Pacific Situational Analysis.
• Participate in the development, implementation and management of new data elements for the report.
• Provide advice on assessment design to ensure data quality and manage platforms and tools such as MS Lists, MS Teams and PowerBI.
• Produce and update visual information products including charts, infographics, map visualizations and snapshots for the report and other OHCHR PRO visual products.
• Revise all content based on feedback and submit full content package of info-graphics, spreadsheets, map visualizations, snapshots and other data tools.
• Ensure appropriate storage, destruction or archiving of data managed in the elaboration of the report.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s university degree (or equivalent) in information management, information systems, social science or related field.
• A minimum of three (3) years of progressively responsible experience in information management, information systems, web management, data management, geographic information systems & mapping, data visualization, or other related area is required.
• Experience of working in the Pacific region is required.
• Experience with GIS tools and services and o365 tools and data systems is desirable.
• Experience within the United Nations common system or an international organisation is desirable.
• Fluency in English is required.
• Working knowledge of Fijian or any of the indigenous languages from the Pacific will be an advantage.
