The consultant will support the digitization and documentation of museum collections at the Khortytsia National Reserve in Ukraine, contributing to the preservation of cultural heritage damaged by conflict. This role involves preparing and completing collection records and entering data into digital museum databases, working closely with experienced experts to build capacity and knowledge exchange.
Responsibilities
- Undertake tasks related to the digitization and documentation of museum collections, including the preparation and completion of collection records and associated documentation, in accordance with the needs and instructions of the Reserve’s staff
- Work part-time for 17 weeks, 18 hours per week (3 days per week, 6 hours per day)
- Scan 1500 storage units
- Record 600 storage units in the inventory records
- Submit regular progress reports for UNESCO approval
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in history, archival studies, or a related field
- Previous collaboration with the Khortytsia National Reserve is considered an advantage
- Strong communication skills
- Proficiency in English is considered an asset
