The Marketing Associate will work within the Marketing Services area of the Resource Mobilization and Partnership section, focusing on individual donor fundraising communication and content production to support children's rights in Brazil.
Responsibilities
- Integrate the Marketing Services area focusing on individual donor fundraising communication and content production.
- Work exclusively with teams managing donations from individuals to further children’s rights.
- Deliver marketing products on time and within budget.
- Produce advanced written content and review documents with accuracy and professionalism.
- Follow creative briefs and produce accurate information.
- Collaborate inclusively with a range of partners including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations, and authorities at different levels.
- Adapt and work effectively in a challenging and multicultural environment.
Requirements
- Completed secondary education is required.
- A completed first level university degree from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position, preferably in Social Communication, Journalism, mass media and art/ Arts, public relations, advertising and marketing, may replace three years of related work experience.
- A completed advanced level university degree may replace an additional two years.
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in communication or marketing area, with at least 2 years of professional work experience in fundraising communication and content production (text) is required.
- Ability to deliver products on time and within budget is required.
- Advanced writing skills (text production) is required.
- Accuracy and professionalism in document reviewing and editing is required.
- Ability to follow creative briefs and produce accurate information is required.
- Excellent interpersonal skills are required.
- Cultural and social sensitivity is needed.
- Ability to work inclusively and collaboratively with a range of partners, including grassroots community members, religious and youth organizations and authorities at different levels is needed.
- Familiarity with tools and approaches of communications for development is needed.
- Ability to work and adapt professionally and effectively in a challenging environment is needed.
- Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team of international and national personnel is needed.
- Self-motivated, ability to work with minimum supervision is needed.
- Ability to work with tight deadlines is needed.
- Fluency in Portuguese and proficiency in English is required.
- Knowledge of Spanish or another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian) is considered an asset.
- Basic Canva and Adobe PDF skills are considered a plus.
- Experience working for an international organization or an NGO is desirable.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
