The Communications & Stakeholder Engagement Coordinator will support the Blue Dot Network Secretariat in implementing communications and stakeholder engagement strategies. The role involves developing integrated content, managing outreach, and fostering relationships across the infrastructure investment ecosystem to expand the Network's global footprint.
Responsibilities
- Map and analyse stakeholders across the infrastructure investment ecosystem, including investors, financial institutions, development banks, project developers, engineering firms, industry associations, civil society networks, and government agencies.
- Support targeted outreach to prospective partners and champions of the Blue Dot Network, and manage and nurture ongoing relationships, ensuring timely follow-up and engagement tracking.
- Support the organisation and implementation of the BDN Executive Consultation Group and Steering Committee work programme, including stakeholder consultations, working groups and strategic dialogues.
- Identify strategic opportunities for collaboration, co-sponsored initiatives, joint events and pilot engagements.
- Support the development of an integrated communications and outreach plan for the BDN, including a robust digital presence.
- Promote the visibility and awareness of the BDN and its business, ESG and sustainability strategies.
- Prepare briefing notes, pitch decks and partnership proposals tailored to different stakeholder groups.
- Draft and deliver high-quality communications products including blogs, articles, stakeholder updates, newsletters, video clips, case studies, talking points, speeches, social media content, web copy, and thought leadership pieces following OECD editorial rules and best practices.
- Keep the BDN website up to date and aligned with OECD rules and best practices for the web, liaising with website host.
- Prepare regular reports and dashboards on outreach progress and partnership development.
- Conduct all communications and outreach work in alignment with OECD rules and best practices, and in coordination with the Directorate for Communications and GOV Communications team as needed.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute events such as workshops, webinars, conferences and panel sessions.
- Collect audience insights and feedback to refine future engagement activities.
- Track developments in infrastructure financing trends, sustainability standards and certification ecosystems to inform strategic positioning.
- Coordinate content development with external partners, internal leadership and communications teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (or equivalent) in international relations, business, public policy, sustainable development, communications or a related field.
- Minimum of three-to-five years demonstrated experience in business development, partnerships, stakeholder engagement, or strategic communications, ideally within the infrastructure, finance, or international development sectors.
- Understanding of infrastructure financing, public-private partnerships (PPPs), ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) standards, development finance, or global sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with proven experience in producing high-quality content for diverse audiences, including translating complex technical or financial concepts into engaging content for a broad public.
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain professional relationships across public and private sectors.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision.
- Experience working with multilateral institutions, development banks or public-private partnerships would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with certification systems or quality infrastructure standards would be an advantage.
- Fluency in one of the two OECD official languages (English and French) and knowledge of the other, with a commitment to reach a good working level.
- Knowledge of other languages would be an asset, in particular in Spanish and/or Portuguese.
