The Finance Assistant is responsible for executing and supporting operational processes in accounting, treasury, taxes, and financial management of the office, ensuring timely and reliable recording of information, compliance with fiscal obligations, and proper payment processing according to NRC policies and regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure adherence to NRC policies, tools, manuals, and guidelines.
  • Support the implementation of the support function portfolio according to the action plan.
  • Prepare and develop status reports required by the area leader and management.
  • Ensure proper filing of documents.
  • Promote and share ideas to strengthen support functions.
  • Provide first-level information management to NRC Financial management.

Requirements

  • Technologist or final semester student in Public Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
  • Work experience in financial support functions in humanitarian aid contexts.
  • Previous work experience in complex and changing contexts.
  • Proven experience related to the responsibilities of the position.
  • Basic knowledge of English language.
  • Minimum one (1) year of proven experience in a similar position.
  • Technical English knowledge is highly desirable.
  • Proven experience in the use of MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point).
  • Previous experience with accounting software is highly valued.
  • Knowledge and management of accounting programs.
