The trainee will assist in the design, execution, and analysis of EIF’s Equity Survey & Barometer and contribute to other market assessment projects.

Responsibilities

  • Support the team in the execution of the two EIF Survey waves by contributing to, inter alia, the questionnaire design, the programming of the latter in the online survey tool, the monitoring of incoming responses while the survey is in the market, etc.
  • Support the team in the analysis of the resulting survey data and in the preparation of the relevant survey reports.
  • Support the team in data-related and market information projects on relevant SME financing topics through, inter alia, desk research, accessing commercial VC/PE databases and EIF information sources.

  • Excellent knowledge of written and spoken English. Good command of another EU language would be an advantage.
  • Some knowledge and understanding of EIF’s mission, activities and products, markets and legal frameworks relevant to EIF business, as well as of policies and priorities in that context.
  • Familiarity with working with data and other modern digital solutions, including AI tools.
  • Familiarity with PE/VC investment practices will be considered an advantage but is not a prerequisite.
  • Ease with IT applications and data analyses, reports and presentations.

  • Prior experience in banking/finance would be a plus.
