The consultant will enhance goAML’s communications, outreach and advocacy support by updating advocacy materials, organizing events, preparing briefing materials, and maintaining the goAML website and social media accounts.

Responsibilities

  • Update and disseminate the goAML brochure to improve visibility and knowledge sharing (15 days, by 18 Dec 2026).
  • Prepare briefing materials, web stories, and social media posts for key events, including: 1- Netherlands Strategic Meeting (July 2026) 2- ECOFEL/UNODC Virtual Assets Training (10–11 Dec).
  • Develop communications plan for the 11th goAML IUGM and produce related briefings, web story, and social media content (10 days).
  • Maintain and update the goAML website and social media accounts as needed (10 days).

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in communication, journalism, international relations, public administration, political science or related field is required. A first-level university degree in similar fields in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of ten years of progressively responsible experience in public information, journalism, international relations, public administration, or related area is required.
  • Working experiences in user-centric outreach, or PR, or web design or communication in and across the UN System are desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing promotional and press events and activities, preparing presentations, statements and other materials for advocacy and public outreach purposes as well as social media is required.
  • Experience in data analytics or related area is desirable.
  • Experience in working with UNODC is desirable.
  • Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another United Nations working language is an advantage.
