The position supports the Sinergia+ project aimed at strengthening CONANP to improve institutional efficiency, governance, and ecological connectivity. The role focuses on coordinating actions related to international designations, liaising with national and international partners, and supporting reporting and project follow-up to meet commitments under international frameworks.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate actions with Regional and Protected Natural Areas Directorates for implementing the Statutory Framework of the World Network of Biosphere Reserves and technical guidelines for international designations.
  • Maintain constant communication with national and international entities, external partners, and General Directorates in central offices and regional directorates to fulfill commitments.
  • Assist in coordinating responses to information requests about MaB Biosphere Reserves.
  • Support organization of meetings, events, and workshops, and prepare reports and minutes to fulfill agreements.
  • Coordinate between area directorates, regional directorates, and protected natural areas for project management and follow-up to meet UNESCO requirements.
  • Coordinate working groups in integrating Periodic Review Reports and sending additional required information.

Requirements

  • Candidates with a High School Diploma (Preparatoria) require 7 years of experience in Environmental issues, International Designations, and Protected Natural Areas.
  • Candidates with a Bachelor's Degree require 4 years of experience in the above-mentioned topics.
  • Experience in preparing reports and minutes to fulfill agreements.
  • Experience in organizing, facilitating workshops, meetings, and events.
  • Experience in systematizing and analyzing information.
  • Knowledge and experience working in the field with communities is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in sustainable project management and follow-up is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in implementing international conservation and sustainable development initiatives is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in inter-institutional coordination with local, regional actors and international organizations is desirable.
  • Knowledge and experience in governance processes and articulation with territorial actors is desirable.
  • Advantageous to have experience working in Protected Natural Areas and International Designations.
  • Applicant must be a Mexican citizen or a foreigner with a migratory status allowing the function to be performed.
