The Contractor will assist the Research and Awareness Unit with setting up the language, stylistic and structural standards to be adopted in a TOCTA Trafficking of medical products in Central Africa and ensuring compliance with UN editorial manual. The role involves editorial appraisal, revising inputs from research officers, designers and experts, harmonizing style to create a coherent final document and presenting the information in an engaging manner.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Research and Awareness Unit with setting up the language, stylistic and structural standards to be adopted in a TOCTA Trafficking of medical products in Central Africa and ensuring compliance with UN editorial manual.
- Integrate, editorially appraise and revise the inputs from the research officers, designers and experts involved in the process.
- Harmonize the style to create a coherent final document.
- Present the information contained in an engaging manner.
- Produce one draft edited TOCTA Central Africa report in tracked changes for the review of the drafting/reviewing team, with key messages developed based on the findings of the report.
- Incorporate comments by UNODC and possible additional comments and inputs from other UNODC staff.
- Edit and proofread final version of the TOCTA report.
Requirements
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Fluency in French and English, with excellent drafting and communication skills, is required.
- Knowledge of another United Nations official language is an advantage.
