Senior ICT/Digital Consultant for the Americas

The Senior ICT/Digital Consultant will support ITU in the Americas Region by carrying out specialized activities in digital policy, regulatory, economic, market trends, spectrum management, cybersecurity, digital applications, emergency telecommunications and capacity building. The consultant will prepare reports, deliver training, and contribute to research and policy development to foster digital transformation and inclusive ICT environments.

Responsibilities

• Carry out the activities assigned of the area of specialization.
• Ensure that all activities are carried out according to schedule.
• Prepare reports/presentations in accordance with assigned activities.
• Provide documents requested by the ITU.
• Participate in face to face and online meetings scheduled for development of the activities and delivery of results.
• Develop detailed analysis on policy, regulatory, economic and market trends.
• Contribute to the creation of topical digital policy, regulatory, economic and market content.
• Develop training content and deliver training.
• Implement research activities of the area of specialization and communicate results.

Requirements

• University degree in telecommunication/ICTs, law, economics, public affairs, international relations, international development, management, engineering, political or social sciences or a related field.
• An advanced degree would be an advantage.
• At least five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in the field of the Special Service Agreement (SSA).
• Extensive experience in ICT policy, regulatory and market analysis, mainly in the Americas Region.
• Knowledge of Spanish or English at advanced level.
