The internship provides surge support to Country Offices as part of Save the Children's PRIME data fix initiative. Interns will help resolve indicator data issues by making corrections in the PRIME system, supporting data quality and ensuring accurate results feed into strategic dashboards used by leaders globally.

Responsibilities

  • Engage directly with Country Offices to gather the correct indicator information needed to resolve data issues.
  • Make agreed indicator corrections directly in PRIME, following a clear step-by-step guide.
  • Record each fix in a shared tracker to enable real-time progress monitoring across all assigned countries.
  • Flag anything unclear or outside scope to the coordinator, who owns escalation.
  • Support data quality by driving increased and accurate data entry in project logframes, helping to ensure results feed correctly into the strategic dashboards used by leaders at every level of the organisation.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as International Development, Business Administration, Data Management, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency in English is essential. Proficiency in French and/or Spanish would be advantageous.
  • Based in a country where SCI has an established programme presence, with the ability to support regional stakeholders and collaborate across multiple time zones as required.
  • Detail-oriented, organised, and reliable, with strong attention to accuracy when working with data systems.
  • Able to work independently, make informed decisions within defined guidelines, and seek support or escalate matters when appropriate.
  • Quick to learn; able to follow step-by-step guides and pick up new systems with minimal handholding.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage positively with a diverse range of teams and stakeholders across cultures and time zones.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; familiarity with collaborative tools such as SharePoint is desirable.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving ability; able to identify discrepancies and surface issues clearly.
  • Experience in data analysis roles, possibly through previous internships or university projects which reflect experience in a structured environment working on complex tasks.
  • Ability to work within a global team environment, demonstrating a commitment to organisational values, ethical conduct, and collaborative achievement across diverse teams and perspectives.
