The Human Resources Officer will be responsible for recruitment branding strategies, outreach programmes, and talent sourcing to support the United Nations Joint Staff Pension Fund. The role involves developing marketing strategies, organizing outreach events, advising hiring managers, and supporting career development projects within the Office of Investment Management.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and implement specific recruitment branding strategies including advertising and attracting talent to UNJSPF positions.
  • Develops and implements outreach programmes, including marketing strategies and materials to promote activities that are consistent with UN diversity and gender goals.
  • Develops and organizes outreach events to attract candidates and build a talent pipeline for UNJSPF vacancies.
  • Prepare outreach presentations and multimedia content for these targeted outreach events.
  • Create, manage and analyze social media content relating to recruitment outreach, in consultation with the HR Team Leads.
  • Stays updated on industry trends and recruitment best practices by conducting research to identify emerging talent acquisition strategies, technologies, and tools to create efficiencies and effectiveness within the recruitment process, while aligning it to organizational mandate, goals, and interests.
  • Advises hiring managers on how to create accurate job descriptions without bias to ensure that job requirements, responsibilities and qualifications are well-defined to attract the most suitable candidates.
  • Collaborates with hiring managers to meet identified needs and objectives to enrich the applicant pool for UNJSPF's workforce.
  • Contributes to the monitoring and reporting on the outreach strategy, indicators and impact.
  • Collects and analyzes data to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports using data visualization methods to enable data-driven planning, decision-making, presentation and reporting.
  • Support the Staff Development Officer to coordinate career and professional development projects across the UNJSPF.
  • Performs other duties as required.

Requirements

  • Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in human resources management, business or public administration, social sciences, education or related area.
  • A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
  • A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in human resources management, talent sourcing and acquisition in an international environment is required.
  • At least 5 years of experience with the UN Common system recruitment process, including the use of Inspira, is required.
  • At least 1 year of experience with the use of LinkedIn Recruiter for talent acquisition and outreach, including active sourcing of candidates is required.
  • Proficiency in data visualization tools to identify trends or patterns and provide insights through graphs, charts, tables and reports is desirable.
  • At least one year of outreach experience in an investment/finance/pension fund environment is desirable.
