This internship program offers practical learning opportunities within UNFPA Guinea across three complementary areas: Youth and Innovation, Digital Communication/Photographer-Videographer, and Administration. Interns will gain hands-on experience while contributing to the organization's initiatives under supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Support activities of the host units according to the internship area (Youth and Innovation, Digital Communication/Photographer-Videographer, and Administration).
  • Participate in collecting, compiling, and formatting information related to program activities.
  • Contribute to preparing simple technical documents (notes, reports, presentations) under supervision.
  • Support organization and follow-up of meetings and activities.
  • Participate in communication and visibility activities as needed.
  • Collaborate with team members in a multicultural environment.
  • Familiarize with UNFPA and UN system coordination procedures, tools, and mechanisms.

Requirements

  • Be a Guinean national.
  • Reside in Conakry for internships in Digital Communication/Photographer-Videographer and Administration; reside in Mamou for Youth and Innovation internship.
  • Not be directly related to any UNFPA staff member.
  • Hold a Bachelor's degree obtained within the last year in relevant fields: sciences and technologies or related for Youth and Innovation; digital communication, audiovisual, photography, videography or related for Communication; administration, political science, law or related for Administration.
  • Proficient in common office tools including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Demonstrate initiative, rigor, and good learning capacity.
  • Ability to adapt to a multicultural work environment and collaborate effectively with team members.
  • Excellent command of French, both written and oral; good knowledge of English is an asset.
  • Must have medical insurance for the duration of the internship, proof required before start.
  • Interns do not receive salary or remuneration from UNFPA but may receive a monthly allowance if not financially supported by an institution or program.
