The Programme Analyst provides programme support to the effective management of UN Women programmes in Ukraine by contributing to programme design, formulation, implementation and evaluation. The role supports delivery of programmes by analyzing results and ensuring successful implementation in collaboration with partners and stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Contribute technically to the development of programme strategies in Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting.
- Provide technical support to the implementation and management of the Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting programme including workplan, budget, coordination, monitoring and reporting.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity development support to project/programme partners.
- Monitor progress on programme activities, results and indicators and provide inputs to reports.
- Monitor budget implementation and programme expenditures and provide inputs to financial reports.
- Contribute to building partnerships and resource mobilization strategies.
- Provide technical inputs to inter-agency coordination to align UN Women programmes with partners.
- Provide inputs to advocacy, knowledge building and communication efforts related to Gender-Responsive Planning and Budgeting.
- Perform other duties as necessary for the efficient functioning of the Office and Organisation.
Requirements
- Master’s degree or equivalent in social sciences, human rights, gender/ women’s studies, international development, or a related field is required.
- A first-level university degree in combination with two additional years of qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- A project/programme management certification (such as PMP®, PRINCE2®, or MSP®) would be an added advantage.
- At least 1 year of relevant work experience in development programme/project implementation, coordination, monitoring and evaluation, donor reporting and capacity building is required.
- Experience in Gender Equality and Women’s Empowerment is desirable.
- Experience coordinating and liaising with government agencies and/or donors is desirable.
- Fluency in English and Ukrainian is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language is desirable (French, Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish).
