The Senior Project Manager is responsible for the full implementation of the ECHO project in consortium with two organizations, ensuring optimal planning, leadership, technical, administrative, and logistical oversight. The role involves managing resources, reporting, capacity building, and coordination with partners and internal teams to achieve project objectives in Baga Sola, Chad.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure good planning and monitoring of optimal project activity implementation using available management tools.
  • Provide exemplary leadership and effective governance of the project including monitoring and support of local partners.
  • Ensure rigorous technical, administrative and logistical follow-up of project activities in collaboration with sector leads.
  • Proactively manage project resources (human, material, financial) respecting IRC procedures and project management processes and ensure coordination with other sectors, departments and partners.
  • Ensure quality reporting (activity reports, monthly reports, donor reports), good capitalization of achievements and effective internal and external communication of project results.
  • Provide technical support to managers in reviewing Terms of Reference and organizing training.
  • Manage and build capacity of the team respecting IRC Way and promote harmonious personal development.
  • Perform other tasks within competencies or as requested by supervisor.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Management of Organizations, Project Management, Social Sciences, Development Economics, Law or equivalent degrees.
  • At least 5 years of professional experience in project cycle management and capacity building in health, nutrition, child development or protection sectors.
  • Experience in budget management and activity reporting.
  • Experience in advocacy with local authorities and decision-makers.
  • Experience in networking and working with other agencies, state services and NGOs.
  • Strong experience in leading multicultural and multidisciplinary teams, meetings, partnerships and/or contractual relations.
  • Ability to work effectively and lead a team.
  • Clear and direct communication skills in French and English.
  • Proficiency in computer tools, especially Word and Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
