See your match score & applyThe Senior Manager will lead benchmarking and support the design and delivery of pilots for supply chain digitalization within the Humanitarian Leadership Group on Supply Chain. This role involves translating research and sector mapping into practical inputs for governance, data standards, and interoperability pilots to advance sector-wide digitalization efforts.
Responsibilities
- Lead benchmarking with the 3 TWG member organizations assessing their data systems against the TWG's agreed minimum viable data standards.
- Consolidate benchmarking results into a clear, decision-ready evidence base that directly informs the Result 2 data standards pilot.
- Support the design and launch of three pilots: a governance pilot, a data standards pilot, and an interoperability pilot.
- Document each pilot as it unfolds, capturing lessons learned to support real-time, adaptive management.
- Author the pilot completion reports, prepared in a format agreed in advance with DG ECHO.
- Support identification of pilot opportunities under Result 3, working directly with participating organizations.
- Translate findings from the Result 4 mapping report into concrete design inputs for the Results 1–3 pilots.
- Participate in TWG meetings and relevant sub-group sessions.
- Provide regular progress updates to TWG co-leads.
- Help prepare materials for co-leads meetings and, where relevant, the HLGSC Coordination Board.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required in Supply Chain, Project Management, Data Science, International Development or related field required; Master's degree is an advantage.
- 3-6 years' experience in humanitarian supply chain, program monitoring and evaluation, or data systems work required, including direct responsibilities in pilot design or the testing of new operational mechanisms.
- Strong project management skills, with the ability to keep multiple concurrent workstreams on track and within scope.
- Comfort working with data standards, benchmarking frameworks, or data governance concepts.
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to translate research and technical findings into clear, actionable recommendations for a non-technical audience.
- Demonstrated ability to work across multiple organizations and stakeholder groups.
- Fluency in English required; French or Arabic language skills is an advantage.
- Prior experience with data standards frameworks such as GS1 or UNSPSC is desirable.
- Experience working with multi-stakeholder coalitions, working groups, or coordination bodies is desirable.
