See your match score & applyThe International Rescue Committee (IRC) Deutschland is seeking a Referent*in for Beruf & Orientierung to support people with refugee and migration backgrounds in entering the labor market and entrepreneurship. The role involves planning and conducting workshops, developing training and empowerment offers, individual coaching, and networking with employers and partners to promote inclusive employment opportunities.
Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct workshops to promote psychosocial, social and practical everyday skills and personal empowerment of participants.
- Develop and conduct training, information and awareness-raising formats for professionals, employers, partner organizations and migrant interest groups.
- Contribute to the development and provision of barrier-free, specialized language-sensitive learning, qualification and empowerment offers for people with refugee backgrounds – digital, in presence and as self-learning formats.
- Recruit participants, provide individual counseling, coaching and socio-pedagogical support focusing on labor market orientation and integration as well as strength-oriented competence analyses.
- Support transitions into training and employment through internships, company visits, job-shadowing and building barrier-free access to funding and support offers.
- Build, maintain and network with employers, migrant communities, project partners and other relevant actors to promote inclusive employment and participation opportunities.
- Coordinate program activities, contribute to evaluation, impact analysis and further development of inclusive concepts and framework conditions.
Requirements
- Completed studies or comparable qualification in pedagogy, social pedagogy, adult education, social work or psychology.
- At least two years of experience in counseling and supporting job seekers, especially in labor market integration of people with migration backgrounds and/or visible or invisible disabilities and impairments.
- Experience in leading training courses and workshops.
- Solid knowledge of the local labor market, labor law regulations (e.g., SGB II), application procedures and recruiting methods.
- Knowledge of specialized language materials (IFSL materials) is an advantage.
- Existing network with relevant actors in inclusion/migration and volunteers is an advantage.
- Teamwork skills, organizational competencies, and willingness to collaborate and network.
- German language skills at C1 level and English at B2 level according to the Common European Framework of Reference.
- Additional language skills spoken by the target group (e.g., Ukrainian, Arabic, Dari) are advantageous.
- Willingness to travel regularly (about 10% of working time).
