Responsibilities
- Manage and monitor the financial execution of emergency projects, ensuring compliance with organizational and donor policies.
- Perform budget monitoring of emergency projects, identifying deviations and proposing timely corrective measures.
- Provide technical support and accompaniment to implementing partners in financial and administrative management of projects.
- Perform and/or supervise financial validation and compliance processes of implementing partners, including review of supporting documents and expense verification.
- Ensure financial compliance of emergency projects with organizational and donor requirements.
- Identify financial risks and generate early warnings of possible non-compliance, budget deviations or irregularities.
- Consolidate and analyze financial information of projects and implementing partners for internal and donor reporting.
- Support financial closure processes of emergency projects and agreements with implementing partners.
- Strengthen the capacities of the financial team and implementing partners through technical support and training.
- Contribute to continuous improvement of financial processes and internal control of emergency projects.
- Perform other duties as directed by the Finance Coordinator.
- Comply with occupational health and safety norms, report hazardous conditions, properly use and maintain personal protective equipment, participate in safety training and committees, and adhere to professional conduct standards.
Requirements
- Professional in Public Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or related fields.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in financial and/or accounting management, preferably in the humanitarian or international cooperation sector.
- Experience managing projects funded by international donors and budget monitoring.
- Experience in financial management and accompaniment of implementing partners.
- Ability to identify financial risks and propose timely solutions.
- Teamwork skills and leadership capacity.
- Initiative to propose new ideas, creative thinking and analysis.
- Good judgment and ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks in a constantly changing environment.
- High level of commitment to organizational values and humanitarian principles.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to be clear and concise in all communications.
- Strong organizational and time management skills; proven ability to prioritize and deliver on time.
- Strong analytical skills for problem solving.
- Ability to work both independently and in a dynamic, global, multifunctional team structure.
- Highly competent in Microsoft Office suite.
- Ability to manage and work through change proactively and positively.
- Previous experience in emergency or humanitarian response contexts.
