See your match score & applyThe Donor Engagement Intern supports IRC's funding focused engagement with key institutional donors such as DG INTPA, DG MENA, and DG ECHO. The role involves research, preparation of briefings, supporting donor strategies, and assisting with coordination and administrative tasks within the Donor Engagement Europe Team.
Responsibilities
- Undertake research, notably on data, and preparation of background analyses related to DG INTPA, DG MENA, DG ENEST, FPI and DG ECHO.
- Support in the preparation of briefings for discussions with institutional donors.
- Support in the implementation of donor strategies through preparation of meetings and working groups.
- Participate in relevant donor meetings and take minutes.
- Support in the preparation of external events with EU donors, such as the European Humanitarian Forum 2027, including communication and logistics.
- Support the updating of internal database (Customer Relationship Management) and internal donor tools.
- Support the team with updates of internal donor tools.
- Support in the coordination of visits of IRC staff to donor capitals, including logistics, briefings, appointment coordination.
- Perform other related tasks.
Requirements
- Interested in working in an international NGO and have knowledge and/or high interest in the humanitarian and/or development working sectors.
- Familiar with development cooperation and humanitarian aid.
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently, accurately, with an eye for detail and enjoy working in a team (including virtual teams).
- Proficient in MS Office (especially Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Proactive and conscientious work approach.
- Knowledge of donors such as DG INTPA, DG MENA, DG ECHO, DG ENEST and/or FPI is considered an asset.
- Proficient in English (ability to speak, write and understand).
- French language skills are considered an asset.
- Candidates must have the right to work in Belgium.
