See your match score & applyThe Caseworker provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other ORR-eligible immigrants to support a positive integration experience and the achievement of client self-sufficiency. This position delivers individualized case management services, develops self-sufficiency plans in partnership with clients, and connects households to essential resources in the community.
Responsibilities
- Conduct intakes and needs assessments to identify strengths, barriers, and goals for enrolled clients.
- Develop Family Self-Sufficiency Plans (FSSPs) and Individual Employability Plans (IEPs) with clients, ensuring alignment with program and donor requirements.
- Provide trauma-informed case management services, including direct support, referrals, and advocacy with service providers.
- Coordinate access to housing, benefits, healthcare, education, and employment services.
- Monitor client progress toward goals, adjusting plans as needed, and ensure documentation is timely and accurate in case files and data systems.
- Maintain strong relationships with community partners and service providers to expand available resources for clients.
- Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and trainings to promote quality service delivery and professional development.
- Follow all IRC policies and procedures, including safeguarding, data protection, and confidentiality protocols.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or related field strongly preferred; comparable work experience may be substituted.
- Minimum 2 years of case management experience in a social services environment.
- Experience working with vulnerable or underserved populations preferred.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a cross-cultural, multi-disciplinary team.
- Problem-solver with ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; public speaking experience preferred.
- Proficiency in English required; bilingual ability in Spanish, Dari, Swahili, Kinyarwanda, Arabic, French, or other refugee/immigrant language preferred.
- Valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation.
- Must possess or be eligible for a fingerprint clearance card per Arizona state law.
