The Case Aide provides trauma-informed services to refugees and other qualified immigrants to support a positive resettlement experience and long-term self-sufficiency. This role assists clients in accessing essential services, supports caseworkers in implementing service plans, and facilitates connections to community resources.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients in accessing essential services such as housing, healthcare, transportation, childcare, and other resources
  • Support caseworkers in implementing individualized self-sufficiency and employability plans through encouragement, reminders, and practical support
  • Facilitate connections to community programs that promote integration and economic stability; help clients utilize available resources effectively
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and input information into internal databases
  • Communicate and coordinate effectively with IRC staff, service providers, and community partners to enhance service delivery
  • Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments, job interviews, and service agencies as needed
  • Assist with referrals, scheduling, and administrative tasks to ensure smooth service delivery
  • Provide interpretation services when qualified and appropriate
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • At least 1 year of relevant experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working with refugee or immigrant populations preferred
  • Strong relationship-building, diplomacy, and networking skills
  • Ability to communicate and work effectively in a multi-cultural environment
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills; detail-oriented
  • Problem-solver with ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and digital tools for data entry and research
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; fluency in English required; proficiency in refugee/immigrant languages preferred
  • Valid driver’s license, active insurance policy, and access to reliable transportation
  • Must possess or be eligible to receive a fingerprint clearance card per Arizona state law
