See your match score & applyUnder the European Union-funded project to strengthen the operational capacity of Egyptian Coast Guard and Border Guards, the consultant will assist with capacity building, technical assistance, project documentation, administrative and operational support, event organization, and monitoring and evaluation activities related to migration management and maritime security.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of capacity building and technical assistance activities, including training preparation and delivery under the IBG Programme.
- Assist in the preparation, review, and filing of project documentation, including concept notes, agendas, briefing notes, talking points, mission reports, and correspondence with national and international counterparts.
- Provide administrative and operational support for procurement, contracting, travel arrangements, consultants, service providers, and other project-related processes in coordination with relevant IOM units.
- Liaise with other IOM staff members on administration, financial, logistics and operational matters in support of Programme activities.
- Support the organization and implementation of meetings, workshops, training sessions, study visits, and high-level events, including participant coordination, logistical arrangements, note-taking, and preparation of event documentation.
- Support monitoring and evaluation activities, including data collection, consolidation of participant feedback, maintenance of activity records, and preparation of supporting documentation for Programme reporting.
- Contribute to the development and standardization of templates (reports, questionnaires, surveys, profiles, application, feedback and interviewing forms and others) related to the IBG Programme.
- Perform such other related duties as may be assigned inclusive of duty travels.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Political Science, Law, Human Rights, International Relations, or another related field.
- Minimum of 1–2 years of relevant professional experience with a United Nations agency, international organization, or non-governmental organization (NGO), preferably in migration, humanitarian assistance, human rights, or a related area.
- Knowledge of or experience working with Egyptian entities involved in maritime security, search and rescue (SAR), border management, or related sectors is an asset.
- Strong organizational, communication, and reporting skills, with the ability to coordinate with multiple stakeholders in a multicultural environment.

- Fluency in Arabic & English is required, French is an advantage.
