The Project Assistant (Reintegration) supports the implementation of reintegration activities within the Protection Unit of IOM Türkiye. The role involves administrative support, case management, budget monitoring, reporting, and coordination with various organizational units and external partners.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of project activities, including operating beneficiary hotline, case intake and registration using MiMOSA case management system in coordination with Reintegration Case Workers
  • Retrieve, compile, summarize, and present information/data on specific project topics, maintaining a record of ongoing and closed reintegration cases, in coordination with sending missions and PxD IM Officer
  • Monitor budget; verify availability of funds; obtain necessary approval and update budget related information
  • Support administrative coordination of project implementation, involving liaison with diverse organizational units and external parties to initiate requests, obtain necessary clearances, process and follow-up on administrative actions, etc in administering reintegration assistance in WAVE
  • Draft status reports, identifying shortfalls in delivery and bringing them to the attention of the supervisor
  • Draft correspondence, reports, briefing notes, graphics, statistical tables, presentations and other forms of documentation
  • Organize meetings, workshops and training sessions
  • Respond to general information requests and inquiries; set up and maintain files/records
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • High school diploma with four years of relevant experience; or Bachelor's degree in Political or Social Sciences, International Relations, Development Studies, Migration Studies, Human Rights, Law or related fields from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, national/international institutions, United Nations agencies and non-governmental organizations
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, victims of trafficking and other vulnerable groups
  • Prior work experience with international humanitarian organizations, non-government or government institutions/organization in a multi-cultural setting is an advantage
  • Familiarity with case management environment
  • Proven analytical, interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Good level of computer literacy
  • Experience in liaising with governmental authorities, other national and international institutions
  • Completion of the learning programmes or specific training relevant to the functions of the position is an asset
  • Prior experience in assisting vulnerable groups is an asset
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations
  • In depth knowledge of the broad range of migration related subject areas dealt with by the Organization
  • Knowledge of UN and bilateral donor programming
  • Knowledge of financial rules and regulations
  • Knowledge of International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS)
  • Fluency in English and Turkish (oral and written)
