The consultant will coordinate the development and implementation of labour market outreach activities in Warsaw to support unemployed, underqualified, or career-changing migrants and refugees. The role involves partnership cultivation with private sector actors, market research, job matching, and organizing employability events.

Responsibilities

  • Identify new opportunities and areas of collaboration to cultivate partnerships with private sector actors and enhance the employability of project beneficiaries in the Mazovian Voivodeship.
  • Update and implement IOM's strategy for outreach and cooperation with the private sector in the Mazovian region to facilitate the labour market inclusion of IOM beneficiaries, including migrants and refugees.
  • Conduct market research and desk reviews to identify and map prospective employers in the Mazovian Voivodeship offering employment opportunities that match the professional profiles of IOM beneficiaries.
  • Establish and maintain communication with relevant company representatives, generate leads, conduct outreach and cold calls, and develop a network of prospective employers.
  • Assess employers' needs regarding skills shortages and occupations in demand, and identify appropriate upskilling opportunities to meet the needs of both employers and beneficiaries.
  • Co-design and support the job matching process by identifying vacancies relevant to the individual professional profiles of IOM beneficiaries, in close cooperation with the Warsaw Integration Center Team.
  • Collect detailed information from employers regarding employment conditions, including type of employment contract, and verify that job offers comply with applicable labour legislation.
  • Provide beneficiaries with information on relevant job opportunities developed through partnerships with private sector entities.
  • Ensure beneficiaries receive comprehensive information on the employment conditions offered by employers.
  • Cooperate with the Warsaw Labour Office to ensure complementarity and synergy between the employability support services provided by both organizations for migrants and refugees.
  • Design and implement activities that support IOM beneficiaries in starting and managing business activities, including self-employment initiatives.
  • Organize information sessions, workshops, seminars, job clubs, job fairs, and other employability-related events, as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties related to private sector engagement in support of the employability and labour market integration of migrants and refugees, as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and/or higher degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Law, Social Sciences, or any other related field with three years of relevant experience
  • Postgraduate diplomas or relevant trainings in the field of Business Administration, Social Entrepreneurship, and career counselling will be considered an advantage.
  • Extensive experience in liaising with private sector
  • Experience in outreach and networking activities addressed at private sector
  • General knowledge on migration to Poland and situation of migrants in Poland
  • Experience in working with migrants, refugees, internally displaced persons, vulnerable groups will be considered an advantage.
  • Experience in HR processes will be an asset
  • Very good analytical, communication and interpersonal skills including professional negotiation with private sector entities
  • Familiarity with the labour law and with regulations related to other forms of contracts
  • Familiarity with the legislation related to temporary work and with regulations related to self-employment
  • Knowledge on the legislation related to foreigners’ employment in Poland
  • Excellent knowledge on the dynamic situation on the labour market, including trends and forecasts
  • Knowledge on HR and recruitment procedures
  • Ability to provide information in clear and consistent way
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to work well under pressure and keep deadlines
  • Ability to work individually with minimal supervision and in multicultural team
  • Professional level of computer literacy
  • Strong work ethics and commitment to humanitarian principles
  • Fluency in Polish and English, knowledge of Ukrainian/Russian will be as an advantage.
