See your match score & applyThe Intern will gain experience in working in an international multicultural environment within the United Nations system, supporting the organization, management, and international cooperation activities related to the Career Development Roundtable (CDR) 2026. The role includes assisting in planning, coordination, and delivery of the event, liaising with stakeholders, and supporting various event-related tasks.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the planning, coordination, and delivery of the annual Career Development Roundtable (CDR) 2026.
- Support participant registration and related inquiries.
- Support the delivery of the conference and parallel events including the Career Fair and dinner/evening receptions.
- Provide assistance to keynote speakers and clinic presenters at the event.
- Participate in preparatory and planning meetings.
- Assist in liaising with suppliers and other event contributors.
- Support liaison and coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia and other stakeholders in Tallinn.
- Perform such other duties that may be assigned.
Requirements
- Interest in or studies covering areas relevant to IOM programmes and activities.
- Enrolled in the final academic year of a first university degree programme (minimum Bachelor’s level or equivalent) or graduated in the last 12 months.
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Management, Communications, Public Administration, International Relations or a related field from an accredited academic institution with relevant professional experience.
- Relevant professional experience in Human Resources and/or project or event management is desirable.
- Ability to liaise effectively and professionally with counterparts and a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in computer applications and software, particularly the Microsoft Office Suite; knowledge of Adobe Acrobat and experience in website maintenance is an asset.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with the highest level of confidentiality and discretion.
- Strong responsiveness, flexibility, and ability to manage urgent requests in a timely manner.
