The consultant will support monitoring and evaluation activities for the MPRR-SSA project, including conducting satisfaction surveys, field assessments, and producing analytical reports. Responsibilities include data collection, analysis, and providing strategic recommendations to inform programmatic decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Design survey methodology (sampling, analysis plan, review and adaptation of existing tools)
  • Ensure integration of AEP/AAP, protection and gender sensitivity principles in M&E activities
  • Ensure data collection and quality (using Kobo or equivalent)
  • Guarantee data cleaning, validation and structuring
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of quantitative and qualitative data
  • Evaluate quality, relevance and effectiveness of assistance provided
  • Formulate operational and strategic recommendations based on results
  • Produce analytical reports and presentations for internal use and donors
  • Analyze functioning and accessibility of complaint mechanism (CFM/AAP), including beneficiary satisfaction, channels used and access barriers
  • Formulate operational and strategic recommendations including improvements to complaint mechanism and services

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in economics, accounting, statistics, social sciences, geography, or related field from an accredited university with 7 years of related experience
  • Or a Master's degree in the above fields with 5 years of related experience
  • Experience in data collection is necessary
  • Experience in humanitarian and/or migration context is highly desirable
  • Proven experience in survey design and data analysis
  • Strong skills in analysis and strategic report writing
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools (advanced Excel, SPSS, STATA or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of data collection tools (Kobo, ODK)
  • Understanding of AAP, protection and PSEA principles
  • Good communication and community sensitization skills
  • Fluency in French is mandatory
  • Good level of English and knowledge of other West African languages is an advantage
  • Knowledge of Arabic (including Hassaniya) and local languages (Wolof, Pulaar and/or Soninké) is an asset
  • Must respect IOM data protection principles (IN/138) and maintain confidentiality
  • Must follow IOM writing guidelines and glossaries for accurate translation
