Consultant - Consolidation of Technical Guidance on Return, Readmission and Reintegration

The consultant will consolidate and harmonize existing guidance on return, readmission and reintegration into a single integrated guidance document targeted at government practitioners and authorities. The role involves producing a coherent and comprehensive guidance document and preparing dissemination materials to support rights-based migration governance.

Responsibilities

• Produce a coherent and comprehensive integrated guidance document on Return, Readmission and Reintegration (RRR) based on consolidation and harmonization of existing drafts.
• Identify overlaps and complementarities and propose the appropriate structure and layout for optimal user experience.
• Consult appropriate teams and partners as needed.
• Integrate concepts and guidance from both documents into a single coherent narrative.
• Ensure the final document targets government practitioners and authorities responsible for RRR processes and other relevant stakeholders.
• Prepare dissemination material for external use.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in International Relations, Economics, Business Administration, Social Sciences, Law, Development Studies, International Affairs, or a related field.
• Experience in guidance development, policy and technical support to governments.
• Previous experience working with international organizations, NGOs, or government entities involved in migration and protection assistance is desirable.
• Excellent communication skills, including the ability to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
• Knowledge of return migration, readmission, reintegration and protection.
• Fluency in English (oral and written) is required.
• Working knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian, and Spanish) is an advantage.
