See your match score & applyThe Finance and Administration Site Manager is accountable for the integrity of financial and analytical accounting and reporting from the field. S/he oversees all financial resources and administrative activities within a given field office, including management of premises and staff travel, financial business partnering, risk management, financial compliance, resource management and quality administrative services.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the Finance Department, supporting annual budgets, monthly forecasts, risk reporting, cost control, budget analysis, statutory compliance, and assessment of the financial situation, including treasury.
- Acts as adviser, trainer, and coach on all financial and economic matters for teams running humanitarian projects.
- Draws up contingency measures to respond to critical changes in the operating context.
- Interprets and ensures implementation of institutional guidelines and policies, ensuring compliance with ethical standards and mitigating financial risks.
- Acts as co-signatory and finance interface with authorities, suppliers, banks, and other commercial parties.
- Provides reliable forecasts and budget data to support tactical and strategic managerial decision-making.
- Oversees day-to-day financial management, office and residential premises maintenance, and appropriate security arrangements for staff.
- Supports the Head of Structure in risk assessment, monitoring risk mitigation measures related to finance and administration.
- Leads sustainability measures with technical departments and headquarters to reduce energy consumption and implement sustainability improvements.
- Ensures Finance & Administration Department staffing aligns with operational needs.
Requirements
- University degree (Bachelor’s or equivalent) in Economics, Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in business management, financial control, analysis or audit, preferably in an international or humanitarian context.
- Exposure to multicultural environments or overseas assignments.
- Experience in staff supervision: ability to motivate, mentor, and upskill team members.
- Professional certification in fraud prevention (CFE), accounting (CPA/CMA) or project management is an asset.
- Digital proficiency (Power BI, data analytics and other business analytics technics) or experience in digital transformation.
- Office management experience is a strong asset.
- English & French: Professional proficiency (C1 Level) is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Arabic, Spanish or Russian is a strong asset.
