See your match score & applyThe Consultant will provide technical expertise to enhance and expand the IEC's eLearning offerings in Emergency Preparedness and Response (EPR), including developing new eLearning modules, reviewing existing materials, and integrating innovative instructional methodologies such as virtual reality technologies. The role involves planning, coordination, and implementation to ensure alignment with IAEA's strategic goals and user needs.
Responsibilities
- Technical development of eLearning materials based on the Safety Standards and EPR documents for the IAEA.
- Development and further refinement of eLearning materials that align with and give a technical basis for further trainings that the IEC conducts.
- Planning and providing technical input in the eLearning modules and developing the modules ensuring a clear and structured approach.
- Track and document progress and outcomes and action items from all work, ensuring accountability through preparing and maintaining user manuals, technical documentation and implementation records.
- Develop a plan for further expansion of the eLearning available to Member States on EPR.
- Develop promotional materials and communications to enhance awareness and drive use and participation.
- Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to address their needs, fostering a collaborative approach to the eLearning program.
Requirements
- University degree in fields such as Instructional Design, Educational Technology, Learning Sciences, Digital Learning, Computer Science, Educational Media Development.
- In lieu of a university degree, specialization or certification in eLearning development, simulation-based training, immersive learning environments, virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), mixed reality (MR), human-computer interaction, or serious gaming for training is accepted.
- At least five years of professional experience in the design and application of eLearning, simulation/ based learning and scenario-driven training.
- Proven experience in project management.
- Experience in Emergency Preparedness and Response, Crisis management or technical/scientific education is a distinct advantage.
- Good oral and written command of English.
- Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
