See your match score & applyThe Associate Safeguards Geospatial Analyst contributes to the collection, processing, integration and dissemination of raster and vector geospatial data within the Section to support the review and assessment of the status of nuclear facilities and infrastructure. This involves geospatial analysis, and contributions to the implementation and maintenance of geospatial data services and applications to support the activities of the Department.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to geospatial activities by collecting and pre-processing geospatial data, digitizing vector features, generating site plans, and producing geospatial and imagery-derived products and services in support of nuclear safeguards needs.
- Conduct satellite imagery pre-processing, including the generation of SAR interferometric products, and when relevant, support satellite imagery analytical reporting.
- Apply quality control procedures to ensure the highest quality of analytical products and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives aiming at enhancing data quality integration/dissemination processes.
- Participate in departmental working groups on GIS technologies and capabilities, as well as in the development of integrated analytical products.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree - University degree in remote sensing, GIS, geography, environmental science, social sciences, information technology or a related field.
- Minimum of two years of experience in GIS processing and analysis or in conducting analysis related to the nuclear fuel cycle.
- Experience with multisensor imagery, including familiarity with panchromatic, multispectral, and radar imagery.
- Experience with ESRI ArcGIS Pro software, ArcGIS Enterprise and geodatabases.
- Excellent oral and written command of English.
- Knowledge of other official IAEA languages (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian and Spanish) is an asset.
