See your match score & applyThe Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle including origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring of infrastructure projects across the Eurasian region. The role involves financial analysis, credit assessment, project monitoring and supporting the operation leader and project team throughout the project lifecycle.
Responsibilities
- Contribute as a project team member to all aspects of project structuring and execution including research, market and financial analysis, risk evaluation, financial modelling and projections.
- Assist in designing and processing technical co-operation assistance including preparation of terms of reference and internal approval documentation.
- Assist with communication with internal units, clients and stakeholders including preparation of correspondence and presentations.
- Complete assigned tasks within specified time frames and in line with Bank policies and objectives.
- Undertake tasks related to implementation and monitoring of projects including compliance with agreements, disbursement monitoring, project progress and financial performance assessment, risk evaluation and covenant compliance.
- Prepare draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions and ensure follow-up with senior team members.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of technical cooperation assignments including client communication, fund usage monitoring and reporting to support donor requirements and operational objectives.
- Progressively undertake more complex tasks and expand responsibilities based on experience and expertise.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant areas.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA is desirable.
- Strong quantitative and numerical skills with ability to interpret financial information and design financial models.
- Credit analysis skills including interpretation of accounts and understanding of local and international accounting principles.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages including financial analysis and modelling modules.
- Good understanding of relevant systems and processes.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member, meet deadlines and work under time pressure.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Relevant financial industry experience from investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards.
- Exposure to industry and country experience.
- Exposure to infrastructure sector is desirable, including understanding of sector specifics and regulation.
- Experience working in Eurasia is desirable.
- Good command of local/country language is an advantage.
