See your match score & applyThe Analyst contributes to all phases of the project cycle including origination, structuring, execution, implementation and monitoring. The role involves comprehensive due diligence, financial analysis, and supporting project teams under guidance of senior bankers.
Responsibilities
- Contribute as a project team member to all aspects of project structuring and execution including research, market and financial performance analysis, risk evaluation, financial statement analysis, and financial modelling.
- Assist in designing and processing technical co-operation assistance including preparation of terms of reference and internal approval documentation.
- Assist with communication with internal units, clients and stakeholders including preparing draft correspondence, presentations, and occasional translation (Romanian-English/English-Romanian).
- Ensure timely completion of assigned tasks in line with Bank policies and objectives.
- Undertake assigned tasks related to implementation and monitoring of projects including compliance with agreements, disbursement monitoring, project progress and financial performance assessment, risk factor evaluation, and covenant compliance.
- Prepare draft monitoring reports with recommendations for corrective actions and ensure follow-up.
- Assist with implementation and monitoring of Technical Cooperation assignments including client communication, fund usage monitoring, and preparation of progress and completion reports to support donor reporting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred or equivalent experience in relevant areas.
- Professional qualification such as ACA, CFA, ACCA, or CIMA is desirable.
- Strong quantitative and numerical skills with ability to interpret financial information and design/use financial models.
- Credit analysis skills including interpretation of accounts and understanding of local and international accounting principles.
- Computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office and spreadsheet packages including financial analysis and modelling modules.
- Good understanding of relevant systems and processes.
- Ability to work effectively as a team member and meet deadlines under time pressure.
- Good written and oral communication skills in English.
- Good command of Romanian language is mandatory; good command of Russian is an advantage.
- Relevant financial industry experience from investment or commercial bank, private equity firm, asset management firm, or auditing/financial consulting firm operating to international standards.
