The Driver will support and carry out passenger transportation within Ukraine, managing transport and logistics activities to support humanitarian assistance operations in Kharkiv/Donetsk regions. The role involves driving, managing, and administering vehicles to provide safe and efficient transport for operations teams and field offices.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out daily vehicle driving duty and inspection of vehicle in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) Fleet Management.
  • Ensure each vehicle carries a Vehicle Logbook, First Aid Kit, and Fire Extinguisher.
  • Ensure vehicles are cleaned inside and out as needed.
  • Report any accident, damage, or defects to the vehicle to the Fleet Officer and Security Specialist and complete Accident Report.
  • Check and ensure Vehicle Logbooks are correctly completed.
  • Ensure vehicles are parked correctly during day and night at office parking.
  • Understand and obey all traffic laws and regulations of Ukraine and DRC in country.
  • Advise Supply Chain Officer of needed service and maintenance of assigned vehicle minimum 3 days in advance.
  • Communicate with Fleet Officers and Security Officers.
  • Monitor fuel states and organize refuelling.
  • Send completed Logbook to Fleet Officer at end of each day.
  • Work according to operational needs of the operation.

Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license in categories B and C (advantage).
  • At least 3 years of driving experience, preferably with international non-governmental organizations (INGOs).
  • Fluency in the Ukrainian language.
  • Experience with manual transmission.
  • Accident-free driving experience (3+ years) in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of the technical characteristics of vehicles.
  • Basic computer literacy, including skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
  • Knowledge of the area.
  • English language proficiency at level A1 (desirable).
