See your match score & applyThe African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat offers an internship opportunity for final year students to gain practical experience and international exposure in translation and interpretation. Interns will assist in translating working documents and interpreting during meetings, contributing to the Secretariat's strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- Assist in translation of working documents from English/French on a wide range of subject matters in a timely manner into the respective AU working language.
- Assist in interpretation during meetings, audiences, and discussions.
Requirements
- Be nationals of a Member State of the African Union and residing in Ghana.
- Final year students enrolled full-time in a fully accredited degree program in Interpretation and/or Translation.
- Full availability for a minimum of three months, the duration of the program.
- Proficiency in one of the AU official working languages (French, English, Portuguese, Arabic, Kiswahili, Spanish); fluency in another AU language is an advantage.
- High level of quantitative and IT skills.
- Very good ICT skills and familiarity with Microsoft Office suite.
- Capability and willingness to work in a multicultural and international team environment.
- Commitment to upholding and adhering to the rules and values of the Institution for the duration of the program.
