See your match score & applyThe American Red Cross is seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Account Manager to lead strategic sales efforts within a high-value hospital territory in Richmond, Charlottesville and surrounding areas. The role involves managing key clinical and executive-level relationships, educating stakeholders on Red Cross offerings, negotiating contracts, and expanding the footprint into new hospital systems.
Responsibilities
- Manage and grow a portfolio of hospital accounts generating approximately $30M in revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical leaders and C-suite executives.
- Educate clients on Red Cross products, services, and value propositions.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities within and beyond the current customer base.
- Lead contract negotiations and renewals to ensure long-term partnerships.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and customer satisfaction.
- Provide guidance and support to volunteers as needed in support of hospital engagement.
- Travel to assigned hospitals and prospects at least 3 days per week.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; a background in science or healthcare is preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience, ideally in healthcare sales, clinical services, or a related field.
- Experience selling to hospitals, pharma, or medical device companies is highly desirable.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage both clinical and executive audiences.
- Proven ability to absorb and communicate technical information effectively.
- Collaborative, analytical, and results-driven mindset.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and CRM tools; ability to manage data and reporting.
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel within the assigned territory, with the expectation of being in the field 2-3 days per week.
- Some overnight travel (up to 20%) may be required.
