See your match score & applyAs a Senior Community Disaster Program Manager, you will lead and support teams of employees and volunteers to deliver disaster relief and preparedness services. You will build and sustain volunteer engagement, manage disaster response operations, and act as a regional disaster subject matter expert to maximize community readiness and Red Cross presence.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a diverse volunteer team responsible for volunteer-led disaster cycle services programming.
- Oversee the successful implementation of disaster cycle services activities or specific functional activities within the region.
- Champion and drive the development of Disaster Leadership Volunteers and volunteer partners.
- Supervise efforts to prepare and mobilize communities and engage partners for disaster preparedness and response.
- Build relationships and collaborate in a matrix management environment with internal partners.
- Act as a regional Red Cross disaster subject matter expert to maximize presence and community engagement.
- Initiate, scale, coordinate and manage disaster relief operations in alignment with the Disaster Cycle Services Concept of Operations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required, or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience.
- 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated analytical and decision-making skills to interpret program trends, results, formulate recommendations, and develop creative processes for continuous program or service improvements.
- Proven record of accomplishment of collaboration with diverse groups and individuals representative of all the demographics of this community, managing multiple priorities, facilitation, problem solving, marketing, leadership, and partnership management.
- Intermediate level proficiency with Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Ability to work outside of regular duty hours including nights and weekends.
- Must have Valid Driver’s License.
