See your match score & applyThe Facilities Technician Lead develops and implements initiatives to increase access, use, and effectiveness of Fleet and Facilities programs and services. The role advances Fleet and Facilities services to meet established goals and objectives and acts as a subject matter expert to staff, management, volunteers, and external partners. The position includes managing vehicle fleet maintenance and providing leadership guidance to volunteers.
Responsibilities
- Provide overall support in the execution of fleet and facilities management within a region.
- Develop and execute facilities maintenance for American Red Cross facilities.
- Develop and execute strategy for the American Red Cross fleet that includes preventative and corrective maintenance, fleet reporting and analysis, and the support process around vehicle reservations.
- Develop and implement volunteer orientation program to utilize volunteers to fully support the fleet, facilities and general administration operations teams in a cooperative atmosphere.
- Collaborate with Volunteer Services to recruit and train assigned volunteers.
- May directly supervise full-time and part-time volunteers.
- May hire, train, coach, counsel and evaluate performance of volunteers or provide recommendation regarding supervisory action.
- Monitor, analyze and provide consultation of the regional fleet and facilities budgets.
- Evaluate operations department outcomes and results to reinforce best in class fleet and facilities management.
- Develop and maintain active professional relationships with key internal and external partners or vendors.
- May write, organize or maintain technical sections of the department procedure manual.
- Enforce organization safety policies, regulations and procedures related to fleet and facilities management to ensure they are followed at all times.
- Responsible to be up-to-date on all relevant role specific training, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Carries out any additional assignments required to fulfill the Mission of the American Red Cross.
- Will drive vehicle to other locations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Minimum 5 years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and related experience required.
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communications skills.
- Ability to develop project plans and budgets.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of program or service.
- Maintain confidentiality to work ethically and with integrity.
- Demonstrated ability to create presentations and training modules.
- Applicable local licensure if required by state directives.
- A current valid driver's license and good driving record is required.
- Ability to work on a team.
