Driver

Drive an American Red Cross vehicle to pick-up, deliver and properly store ARCBS products and materials following assigned routes. Ensure safe vehicle operation, maintain logs, and provide customer service while supporting ARC Blood Services.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicle to pick-up, deliver and properly store ARCBS products.
• Operate vehicle safely and within traffic laws, including in inclement weather conditions.
• Follow an assigned route and read and interpret maps and directions.
• Maintain logs and reports for daily runs as needed.
• Maintain vehicle in excellent condition by keeping it clean and checking fluid and gas levels.
• Provide shipping and receiving support as directed.
• Provide customer service by giving basic information and interacting positively with employees.

Requirements

• High School or equivalent required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean DMV record required.
• Previous experience with a messenger service or trucking company preferred.
• Ability to drive for long periods of time.
• Minimum height of 48 inches is required to ensure the ability to safely operate a cargo van or large truck.
• Ability to work on a team.
