The Associate Operations Officer supports project administration, knowledge management, technical assistance planning and administration, and work program and budget monitoring within the Regional Cooperation and Integration and Trade Division of the Climate Change and Sustainable Development Department. The role involves coordinating data and information on bank-wide RCI operations, supporting TA processing and implementation, and organizing events and knowledge products.

Responsibilities

  • Support project administration, knowledge management, technical assistance (TA) planning and administration, and work program and budget monitoring.
  • Coordinate and manage data and information of bank-wide RCI operations including analytical and statistical support and RCI knowledge management.
  • Responsible for TA processing, including concept note preparation, TA drafting, interdepartmental review circulation, and approval process.
  • Play key role in the implementation of the CCRC TAs, including support for consultant engagement.
  • Coordinate with regional departments and sector groups to collect, process information and data on RCI tagged projects.
  • Prepare briefing notes and monitor ADB-wide issues and topics for management's attention.
  • Support activities of the RCI Steering Committee, including preparation of meeting agenda and minutes, and coordinating with members on meeting schedule.
  • Organize CCRC events, including RCI Conference, training and workshops, and other conferences and forums; prepare CCRC knowledge products; and perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in economics or equivalent preferably with advanced training.
  • At least 5 years of work experience preferably in operations in multilateral development banks or similar organizations.
  • Experience preparing reports, presentations, or manuals for management or board review.
  • Good understanding of Technical Assistance processing and implementation procedures.
  • Good working knowledge in consultant engagement and contract management.
  • Written and verbal proficiency in English.
  • Proficiency in productivity tools, databases, and other applications commonly used in multilateral organizations.
  • Good working knowledge of procedures, formats and standards relevant in the performance of work.
  • Experience managing multiple tasks, including coordinating schedules, documents, and project deliverables.
  • Experience collaborating with different background and nationality.
