Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough donor prospecting, research, and analysis to identify potential partners and tailor engagement approaches.
  • Manage existing private sector partnerships, ensuring effective communication, regular reporting, and mutually beneficial collaboration.
  • Utilize data analytics and data visualization techniques to assess partnership performance, identify trends, and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Prepare compelling reports, proposals, and presentations for private sector stakeholders, demonstrating impact and value.
  • Employ persuasive negotiation skills to secure resources, agreements, and support from private sector entities.
  • Identify and mitigate potential risks associated with private sector partnerships, ensuring alignment with WFP's ethical guidelines and operational standards.
  • Collaborate effectively with internal WFP teams across various departments to integrate private sector strategies into broader programmatic efforts.
  • Apply emotional intelligence and organizational savvy to navigate complex internal and external stakeholder environments.
  • Provide strategic advice and guidance on private sector trends, opportunities, and best practices to senior leadership.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience in private sector engagement, fundraising, business development, or partnership management within a complex international organization or corporate environment.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and persuasively to diverse audiences.
  • Proven ability in customer-oriented approaches to cultivate and maintain strong relationships with private sector partners.
  • Strong analytical skills, including proficiency in data analytics, database management, and data visualization tools to inform strategic decisions and report on impact.
  • Expertise in donor prospecting, research, and stewardship, with a track record of securing significant resources.
  • Advanced skills in persuasive negotiation and problem-solving to overcome challenges and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
  • Strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to develop and implement long-term private sector engagement plans.
  • Experience in report creation, including drafting compelling proposals, impact reports, and presentations for external stakeholders.
