The position leads strategies of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC), marketing, and positioning to promote healthy eating behaviors, strengthen demand for nutritious foods, and generate alliances contributing to healthier and more sustainable food systems in Guatemala. It involves technical, operational, and administrative follow-up to strengthen territorial implementation, coordination with public institutions, private sector, and strategic partners, as well as social mobilization and knowledge management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, implementation, and monitoring of the Generación Chispuda strategy and other SBC initiatives to promote healthy and nutritious diets.
  • Coordinate work plans, indicators, and monitoring mechanisms to ensure results and deliverables.
  • Direct planning and implementation of campaigns, activations, events, and social mobilization actions promoting healthy eating.
  • Coordinate with technical teams to update and validate communication messages, materials, and tools ensuring technical, territorial, and cultural relevance.
  • Provide technical assistance to strategic partners, allies, and suppliers to ensure quality and consistency of interventions.
  • Ensure integration of SBC, marketing, and demand generation approaches across WFP interventions and programs.
  • Identify and promote innovative approaches, alliances, and scaling mechanisms to expand the reach and impact of behavior change strategies.
  • Lead coordination with the marketing and communication agency responsible for campaign implementation.
  • Supervise compliance with work plans, products, materials, and contractual deliverables.
  • Review and validate content, creative strategies, messages, communication pieces, and audiovisual products aligning with campaign objectives and brand guidelines.
  • Facilitate and manage alliances with private companies, media, digital platforms, academia, community organizations, and other relevant actors to amplify campaign reach and sustainability.
  • Identify collaboration opportunities with private sector and strategic partners to strengthen campaign positioning and territorial reach.
  • Coordinate administrative and contractual follow-up of suppliers and consultants linked to campaigns according to WFP procedures.
  • Analyze coverage, reach, participation, and results data to guide decision-making.
  • Prepare executive reports, presentations, and knowledge products to support monitoring and positioning of results.
  • Formulate technical recommendations based on evidence to continuously strengthen SBC, marketing, and communication strategies.
  • Document and systematize lessons learned, good practices, and experiences from Generación Chispuda implementation and alliances.
  • Lead actions to position, promote, and generate demand for nutritious foods linked to WFP-supported value chains.
  • Provide technical assistance to associations, cooperatives, and productive groups in marketing strategies, commercial positioning, product promotion, and demand generation.
  • Support development of tools and capacities to strengthen marketing and commercialization of nutritious products.
  • Generate recommendations to improve market access and positioning of nutritious foods.
  • Identify market opportunities, strategic alliances, and innovative mechanisms to increase visibility, preference, and commercialization of local nutritious foods.
  • Facilitate links between associations, cooperatives, productive groups, buyers, distributors, commerce, commercial platforms, public institutions, and private companies.
  • Promote strategic alliances contributing to access to public and private markets for WFP-supported products.
  • Identify opportunities to connect Generación Chispuda actions with producers, products, and local value chains contributing to healthy diets and sustainable food systems.
  • Monitor progress, challenges, and results of commercial strengthening actions with associations, cooperatives, and productive groups.
  • Document lessons learned, good practices, and success cases related to marketing, market development, and commercialization of nutritious foods.
  • Generate evidence and technical recommendations to strengthen future market access, demand generation, and commercial capacity development interventions within Strategic Outcome 2.
  • Contribute to preparation of reports, knowledge products, and communication materials documenting results and impacts of market and value chain strengthening interventions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in social sciences, communication, nutrition, health sciences, psychology, pedagogy or related fields.
  • At least seven (7) years of progressive responsible experience, including at least one (1) year working in nutrition projects with a public and community management focus.
  • Knowledge of the humanitarian work context is desirable.
  • Knowledge about nutrition, health, and food security.
  • Experience working with the United Nations System, international organizations or local NGOs.
  • Spanish language proficiency at level C required.
  • English language proficiency at level B desirable.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Excellent analytical skills and document preparation abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and coordinate with different actors to achieve results.
  • Ability to contribute positively to the team and meet deadlines.
  • Willingness to work in demanding and high-pressure environments.
  • Proficiency in Windows, MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and data management systems.
