See your match score & applyThe Strategic Planning Manager is responsible for managing the Office of the PFP Director and providing quality support to the PFP Director and the division's management team, the Cabinet, in realizing the objectives of the division as set in the Office Management Plan. This role plays a critical part in division management, strategy, execution, and internal coordination across the private sector fundraising and partnerships ecosystem, acting as a de facto division-level Chief of Staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage the Office of the PFP Director.
- Serve as Secretariat of PFP Cabinet to effectively support managerial excellence.
- Support division-wide management priorities including change management processes, collaboration with other divisions, internal communications and budget and HR management.
Requirements
- Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Social Science, International Relations, Political Science, Public Administration or any other related fields.
- A minimum of eight (8) years of relevant professional work experience in external relations, public affairs, or international development cooperation, preferably within the UN, or in a government institution, NGO is required.
- Prior experience of working in the design and execution of strategies, coordination, planning, and partnerships or external affairs is required.
- Experience in both headquarters and the field (e.g., Country or Regional Office), working with multiple priorities in high-pressure environments is required.
- Experience in strategic leadership, executive coordination, stakeholder engagement, change management, strategic communication and managing complexity.
- Fluency in English is required.
- Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
- Experience in an executive office is a strong asset.
- Experience working in or with National Committees for UNICEF is an asset.
- Experience in the private sector is an asset.
- Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is an asset.
