Programme Manager

The Programme Manager will coordinate and manage multi-sector programmes focusing on resilience and durable solutions in humanitarian and development contexts in Nigeria. The role involves project coordination, monitoring, evaluation, reporting, partnership building, and representation in complex emergency settings.

Requirements

• An advanced university degree in international development/international relations, peacebuilding, political science, or social sciences is required.
• A minimum of eight years of professional work experience at international levels in programme/project development, planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and administration.
• Specialized training/experience in resilience/nexus/Durable Solutions programme management, particularly in joint UN initiatives, is highly desirable.
• Experience working in emergency/humanitarian settings is essential.
• Knowledge of development and humanitarian issues, strategies, as well as programming policies and procedures in international development cooperation.
• Prior experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
• Excellent interpersonal, internal, and external communication, coordination capabilities, and excellent team building and leading, and programme management skills.
• Ability to manage large budgeted multi-sector programmes and ability to lead diverse and multi-disciplinary teams.
• Demonstrated ability in donor reporting.
• Excellent communications skills, verbal and written.
• Ability to multi-task and deliver against workplan and tight deadlines.
• Fluency in English verbal and written is required.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
