Procurement (Supply & Logistics) Associate

The Procurement (Supply & Logistics) Associate performs highly skilled work on UNICEF supply chains, managing complex cases and client requests. The role involves end-to-end supply chain management and contributing to the design and development of improved supply chain services and delivery mechanisms.

Responsibilities

• Planning.
• Procurement/contracting (specialized).
• In-country logistics (specialized).
• Warehousing and inventory management (specialized).
• Partnership, coordination and collaboration.
• Supply Chain Strengthening for national/ government supply chains.
• Alternative delivery mechanisms, Procurement Services and Supply Financing.
• Localization.
• Emergency Preparedness.
• Info- and Data management and reporting.
• Other duties/responsibilities.

Requirements

• Completion of secondary education is required.
• A Bachelor or equivalent (First Level University Degree) from a recognized academic institution in a field relevant to the position may replace 3 years of related work experience.
• A Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) may replace an additional 2 years.
• The degree should be related to Supply/Purchasing, Business Administration or any other related fields.
• At least 6 years of relevant work experience in Administration, Supply Management, Logistics, Procurement, Warehousing, Inventory management, Contract Management, Vendor management or any other related fields.
• Supply chain knowledge.
• Policy compliance.
• Case judgment.
• Stakeholder management.
• ERP proficiency(SAP).
• Planning and reporting.
• Microsoft Office.
• Collaboration.
• Problem solving.
• Both English and Russian - Proficient/Fluent.
• Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French or Spanish) or a local language is desirable.
• Supply chain courses, procurement certification, emergency logistics, customs clearance are desirable.
• Professional and/or university courses related to the field of work are highly desirable.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts is desirable.
