Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Assistant will provide technical and operational support to the monitoring, evaluation and data management functions of the programme. The internship offers a 6-month practical experience in an international organization, supporting data collection, analysis, and programme monitoring activities under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Support the collection, compilation, cleaning and analysis of programme monitoring data from national systems and UNICEF internal systems.
• Support programme sections in monitoring the implementation of the programme visit plan.
• Support capitalization and dissemination of key lessons learned and good practices from programme implementation.
• Participate in field monitoring missions for programme visits.
• Contribute to monitoring and analysis of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in or recently graduated (within 2 years) with a Bachelor's or Master's degree in statistics, demography, or economics.
• Minimum age of 18 and maximum age of 35 at the time of application.
• Fluency in French; knowledge of English is an asset.
• Proficiency in common office software; knowledge of at least one database management or visualization software (Power BI, SPSS, STATA, R or equivalent) is strongly desired.
• Good analytical, synthesis and report writing skills in French.
• Rigor, organizational skills and respect for deadlines.
• Good team spirit, listening skills and ability to work with diverse interlocutors (program sections, zone offices, government partners).
• Excellent academic results or excellent academic or professional recommendation letters.
• No immediate family member working at UNICEF.
