Nutrition Specialist

The Nutrition Specialist is responsible for managing the nutrition programme in the assigned area and coordinating nutrition interventions across the Grand Sud regions of Madagascar. The role involves providing technical leadership, supporting programme development, implementation, monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to achieve sustainable results in maternal, infant, and child nutrition programmes.

Requirements

• Master or equivalent (Advanced University Degree) in Nutrition and Dietetics, public health, nutrition, nutritional epidemiology, global health, international health, global nutrition, international nutrition health research, nutrition research, policy and management, health sciences, nutritional epidemiology or other related fields.
• At least 5 years of relevant work experience with progressively increasing responsibilities in one or more of the following areas are required: nutrition, public health, nutrition planning and management, or maternal, infant and child health/nutrition care.
• Proven expertise in nutrition planning, monitoring and evaluation, public health, nutrition care and maternal health.
• Fluency in French and Malagasy is required.
• Fluency in English will be considered an asset.
• Experience working with international organizations and expertise in emergency nutrition response, nutrition and multisectoral coordination, IPC processes, and donor reporting are desirable.
• Relevant experience at country level, particularly in development, fragile settings and humanitarian contexts.
