MHPSS Youth Storytelling, Engagement and Learning Generation, Mental Health Leadership

This consultancy supports the development, coordination and implementation of a multi-country youth storytelling, engagement and learning generation plan to promote mental health content for young people. It is part of UNICEF's partnership projects with Spotify and Pinterest focusing on youth mental health and digital safety.

Responsibilities

• Support and collaborate on the development, coordination and implementation of a multi-country youth storytelling, engagement and learning generation plan
• Promote and disseminate mental health content produced to support young people as part of UNICEF/Spotify and UNICEF/Pinterest partnership projects

Requirements

• University degree in Public Health, Mental Health, International Humanitarian Affairs, Data and Evaluation or related field, with strong experience in applying marketing, communications or journalism, in mental health
• At least 5 years of experience in communications/marketing, writing/editing, publications, project management, strategic outreach, and/or related work such as social behaviour change, interviewing young people on sensitive topics; supporting youth storytelling; experience working in global mental health
• Initiative, independence, creative, innovative, and detail oriented
• Strong organizational and project management skills, ability to work on multiple projects with short deadlines
• Excellent writing and editing
• Good analytical abilities, including understanding data and figures, social media metrics and translate them into actionable insights to refine strategies
• Expertise in Microsoft Office, editing, WordPress (or similar), graphic design software (Adobe InDesign, Canva)
• Direct field experience in interviewing young people / facilitating focus group discussions on sensitive topics (e.g. mental health, migration, climate anxiety,etc)
• Experience in LMICs and knowledge of the functioning of UNICEF MHPSS Operational Framework in particular is of great added value
• Strong oral communication skills
• English essential
• Previous experience with good practice / innovation case studies linked to mental health outcomes of youth (desirable)
